1997 Vintage
Wine Spectator,
January 15, 1998. Spectator Selection, rated 89. Smooth, ripe
and creamy, this tasty blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon,
Viognier and Muscat delivers a harmonious medley of fruit flavors,
with lingering notes of spicy pear, peach and nectarine, also fig,
apricot and melon chiming in.
Food & Wine,
December 1999. There is no wine in all of California comparable
to Conundrum. It's made from a blend of grapes grown all over the
state, and you can almost taste the flavors of each and every varietal:
There's lush Chardonnay and Sémillon, crisp Sauvignon Blanc, intense
Viognier and spicy, aromatic Muscat.
