1999 Vintage

Wine Spectator, May 15, 2001. Rated 88. Floral, peach and vanilla flavors taste sweet and lively, with a toasty oak underpinning. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat, Sémillon and Viognier.

American Way, The Magazine of American Airlines, July 15, 2001 (Anthony Dias Blue). A base of Muscat gives Conundrum its exotic tropical fruit, while Viognier and Semillon add aromatic spice and mineral notes. Chardonnay chips in with lush texture, and Sauvignon Blanc brings a juicy vibrancy to the whole. The total effect is balanced and creamy, with a long finish.

Tycoon (Phoenix, Arizona), Summer 2001. Medium-bodied. Ripe, tropical fruit flavors beautifully balanced with moderate acidity. Hints of melon, papaya and crisp apples. Wonderful vanilla and butterscotch flavors keep it interesting. A hint of sweetness from Semillon in the blend makes it a great summer quaffer.
